Virtual PC are offer two mode of virtual networking. Both of those implemented on virtual DEC 21041 ethernal card.
Shared Networking
Share networking is useful for TCP/IP client connectivity. On this share is used NAT (network address translation) mechanism and DHCP server. Therefore share networking is work on TCP/IP level from stack networking, so this will compatible with all TCP/IP connection include of ethernet, token ring, dial up adapter (PPP) and so on. Shared networking is supported by protocol like IPX/SPX and NetBEUI.
